Study on Software RDIT

Software maintenance is the process of modifying a software system or component after delivery to correct faults, improve performance or other attributes, or adapt to a changed environment. It is quite different with hardware maintenance. Some software systems or software intensive systems (SIS) are used worldwide, and software maintenance efforts are very big. In this paper, we study a software Replication, Distribution, Installation, and Training (RDIT) system based on the Internet. The mission of the RDIT system is to provide software, documentation, digitized maps, and data to the users (such as soldiers on battlefields) when and where needed, to identify and capture all information required to effectively manage and coordinate all software version and training material releases.
